Removal and replacement of a 45kW split ducted system with no plant room to work in
The job
Removal of a 45kW Hitachi split ducted unit and installation of a new vertical Rinnai APAC 45kW split ducted unit, to the specification and drawings approved by consulting engineers Stevens McGann Willcock and Copping Pty Ltd.
There's no plant room on this site, which changes the whole job. The existing indoor system had to be dismantled in place and the new APAC indoor unit built in place around it. New pipework was run through the ceiling cavities out to the plant compound to serve both stages of heating and cooling.
Working with our electrical contractors, the old mechanical services switchboard was removed, the electric duct heaters were taken out and the supplies made safe. A new mains supply was run from the main distribution board. Smart Temp controls were added for timeclock operation and temperature control.
